1. AVEINE

How did the idea come about? The idea was born from a simple observation: wine is better when it is aerated. But it's a step you tend to skip, you don't really know how to do it... And it takes time! Aveine had the idea to help consumers integrate this stage of aeration with an easy-to-use object that would save time, be fun, and above all transportable to share the experience with friends and family.

2. The Smart Wine Aerator

What is wine aeration? Air is the best and worst thing that can happen to wine! Aeration reveals its flavors. When the wine is aerated, it develops all the aromas that make it up and it gets rid of unpleasant flavors at the same time. But it is necessary to have a good measure: if the wine remains open for too long, it loses all its aromas. How to use the connected Aveine aerator? The functioning of the aerator is very simple: the aerator is placed on the bottle after opening it, the label is scanned, and the application determines the ideal conditions for tasting. All that’s left to do is pour. The adjustment can also be done directly from the touch screen of the device. Important: it is when the wine passes through the aerator (i.e. when it is served) that it is instantly aerated. The device will simply inject air as the wine passes through. Does the Aerator work with all types of bottles? The Connected Wine Aerator, by Aveine, works with 90% of standard bottles. It does not work with every magnums and larger bottles. What happens inside the aerator when the wine passes through? When the wine is poured into the glass, it passes through the aerator. Inside the aerator is an aeration chamber developed by us. At this point, the pump injects ambient air into the wine to accelerate the aeration process. How do we clean the device? The Smart Wine Aerator can be cleaned with water. There is no need for detergent. Do not put it in the dishwasher. A simple drip of water through the pouring spout is enough. Do not immerse. What if my aerator doesn't work or no longer works? In case of technical problems, contact us at sav@aveine.paris and let us know the problem in a few lines and we will get back to you as soon as possible. My aerator does not turn on / no more To properly recharge the product, simply place it on its base (plugged in and powered) and check that the Aerator is properly connected to its base. If it is correctly installed, then a battery/battery-shaped charging logo will appear at the top right of the screen. As long as the indicator is active, it means that the Aerator is charging. If the screen is off, there is a good chance that the aerator will not be properly connected. Click here to see how the aerator should be connected. How to turn off the aerator? The aerator does not have an on/off button. We are currently developing an extended standby feature for the Aerator to save battery power. It should arrive soon and can be downloaded via the application. How many glasses / bottles can I serve with my aerator? (Battery / charging time) To fully recharge the aerator battery, it takes approximately 3-4 hours. If the aerator remains in standby mode, its charge can last approximately 12 hours With a full charge, you can use the device for service for approximately 3 hours non-stop, or serve the equivalent of 8-10 bottles.

3. The database

How is the database built? Part of the database comes from data provided by the professionals with whom we work. There are also some data that are royalty-free. We are constantly expanding our database, with the help of professionals with whom we work, and also from the community. We are constantly looking for partners to enrich this database as much as possible. How many wines are in the database? At the launch of the application (October 2019) there were 10,000 wines in the database. The latter enriches itself with the wines scanned by users of the Aveine mobile application. Who determines the aeration time of wines? When it’s possible, the producers themselves indicate the aeration time that they consider to be most suitable for consumption of their wines. Otherwise, we work with sommeliers, oenologists and wine professionals who accompany us. In parallel, we have developed an algorithm allowing us to propose an aeration of the wines. How does the algorithm that determines the required aeration time work? The algorithm is in fact a kind of decision tree which, depending on the information it has on the wine (e. g. red/white/rosé; vintage; grape varieties…) will suggest an ideal aeration service. What happens if the wine is not in the database? If the selected wine is not in the database, the algorithm integrated into the application will determine a recommended aeration time. According to some elements, the algorithm will search the database for similar wines, and propose an aeration based on these results. At the time of the scan, if your wine is not recognized, you have the possibility to fill in a form. These forms sent by users are generally validated within 24-48 hours. The more information is filled in, the more accurate the aeration will be according to our algorithm. Once validated, this form allows you to scan the bottle again and find all the information about the wine. You will have thus contributed to enriching our database. The Connected Aerator, by Aveine, can also be adjusted manually. Thus, you can choose different levels of aeration for the same wine, in order to find the one that suits you best! What if the proposed setting does not work for me? Everyone has their own taste when it comes to wine! We offer an optimal aeration time depending on the selected wine. If it is too much or too little, you can adjust the aeration time from the touch screen of the aerator or directly in the mobile application.

4. The mobile Application, by Aveine

Is the application available on iOS and Google Play (Android)? Yes. How much does it cost to download the application? The application is 100% free of charge and can be used without the aerator. In which languages is it available? The application is available in French and English. What can be done with the application?

5. You wish to buy the connected aerator Aveine

Where can I buy the Aveine connected aerator? The aerator is available on our website. It is also available for trial at our Ambassadors. You can find them on our application in the interactive map. WHO CAN MAKE PURCHASES ON THIS SITE? You must be of legal age in your country to make a purchase on www.aveine.paris If not, do not browse the site without the permission of a parent or an adult. WHICH PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED BY AVEINE? We accept payments by MasterCard, VISA and PayPal. We do not accept checks or cash. We only accept one payment method per order. What is the delivery time? The products are shipped from France. The product is usually delivered within a few working days depending on the destination (between 4 and 9 working days). Is it possible to reduce delivery time / accelerate delivery (DHL, etc...) It is not possible to accelerate the delivery time. Delivery anywhere in the world? The Aveine Smart Wine Aerator can be delivered anywhere in the world: be careful, however, depending on the country, delivery times may increase, and you may be charged additional customs fees. The connected aerator is a gift, what should I do? You have the option to enter a different delivery address than the billing address. What Is the Return Policy? If the aerator has any aesthetic or functional defects when it arrives at its destination, you can contact us at sav@aveine.paris and we will replace your aerator. In the event of a fall or misuse of the device it will not be replaced or refunded. What is Aveine's warranty policy? 1-year warranty, in normal conditions of use of the product.
